Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter.
